I can't believe how quickly this week has gone by. I take this speedy week as a sign of healthy adjustment to a new place and to new people. I was having a hard time last week but this week is much better. I have met some great new people and am working on getting some new friends. I have to say that that has been the hardest part about moving away. I have such a fantastic network of friends back in Michigan that not having that has been a challenge. But like I told Cecily today, " I'm a nice person, I'll make friends." Though it does kinda of make me feel like I am in grade school.
Bryan and I went hiking on the Woodlawn Trustees land last weekend. It has rained a lot in the past few weeks so it was really muddy. I got mud everywhere but on my shorts (figure that one out). Linus (the dog) also really enjoyed the hike, I can't remember the last time he was so happy.
We are planning a trip to Philadelphia this weekend. I need to get some new hiking boots before the honeymoon (the others ones are on their last leg and have turned into work shoes) so we are going to REI to get them. There is a highly possible stop for a cheese steak (Bryan's been talking about it for months) and then to downtown Wilmington for the Italian festival (more yummy food).
I have two days off next week and am seriously shooting for a trip to the ocean. I need a beach.
Till next time.

Getting There
Its been a bit of adjustment. Bryan and I are not used to some of the things that happen here, but we are slowly adjusting. Pretty much Bryan spends most of his waking hours at Widener University (the local law school) where he has lecture and then studies for the rest of the day. Thank goodness that the Wings are in the Finals are else I may never see him. Actually that isn't all true, we do manage to have lunch together a couple of times a week.
I too am adjusting to the new location, new store and general things that require adjustment. The people I work with are really nice and friendly and I feel really comfortable there. I am taking exploration trips everyday trying to acclimate myself to the area. I barely have to use the GPS to get around at this point. I am very impressed by this. It didn't take long for me to find the bad part of Wilmington, I was there on the first day. As Bryan said, "it is important to find the bad part of Wilmington along with the good part." Good thing it was the middle of the afternoon.
I am going to attempt to post some pictures of what this place looks like. Some of you (Smiths) already know this place but for those of you who don't I thought it might be interesting. The above pictures are as follows, the room that Bryan and I share (kinda), the new cat Ozzie (named by Sarah after Osgood the goalie), the house, and the kids. This really is an adventure.
Bryan and I are going to try to go to Woodlawn Trustees this weekend to go hiking I will let you know how it goes.
Lastly, if you are following this if you can register yourself as a follower on the site so that I know it would be great. I am starting to think only our parents are reading this thing (which is fine too).
Miss you and Love you ~ Kerry
